Working Principle of Liquid Level Transmitter
The liquid level transmitter is the extension and development of pressure transmitter technology. According to the principle that the pressure of liquid with different specific gravity is linear at different heights, the accurate measurement and transmission of volume, liquid height and weight of water, oil and paste can be realized.
The measuring element of the transmitter is a piezoresistive sensor. It uses piezoresistive effect of semiconductor silicon material to realize the conversion of pressure and electric signal. The measured pressure acts on the stainless steel diaphragm. The pressure is transferred to the sensitive chip through silicone oil injected between the stainless steel diaphragm and the sensitive chip. Sensitive chip is connected with amplifier circuit of transmitter by wire. Because the electrical signal of Wheatstone bridge on the sensitive chip has a good linear relationship with the action pressure, the accurate measurement of the pressure can be realized.
The basic principle of liquid level measurement by liquid level transmitter is to convert the static pressure of liquid proportional to the liquid depth into the output of current signal through the transmitter, so as to establish the linear correspondence between the output electric signal and the liquid depth, and realize the measurement of liquid level, that is, the liquid depth.
