Ultrasonic liquid level transmitters are non-contact, low-cost, and easy-to-install measurement devices. It can be applied to most industrial applications of solid and liquid. The most important aspect is that since there are no moving parts, it is easy to install and low maintenance.
During operation, the device emits waves into the medium to be measured. The waves bounce off the surface and return to the device where the sensor calculates the distance. Notes for selection range of ultrasonic level sensor:
For example, in a tank for measuring the level of hydrochloric acid, due to the strong volatility of the medium, the air in the tank may suspend a large amount of fine liquid particles, causing some sound waves of the ultrasonic level gauge to scatter. For this phenomenon, when the liquid drops to a lower position, the ultrasonic level gauge may not receive echo. Therefore, it is recommended that the user increase the measurement distance by 30-50% when selecting the range. For example, for a 6-meter-high tank, it is best to select a 10-meter Uson-11 ultrasonic liquid level meter for measurement.
